The personal data that we process
The Rembrandt House Museum does not process any personal data given that no personal data can
be left on our site. We also do not use any social media plug ins.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process
It is not the intention that our website and/or service collects data about website visitors who are
younger than 16 years, unless they have permission from the parents or guardian. However, it is not
possible for us to check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be
involved in the online activities of their children in order to prevent data about children being
collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information
about a minor without this consent, please contact us at museum@rembrandthuis.nl, and we will
delete this information.

For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data
The Rembrandt House Museum processes your personal data for the following purposes:

The Rembrandt House Museum does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters
that can have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions taken by computer
programs or systems, without any human involvement from a Rembrandt House Museum member
of staff, forinstance.

The Rembrandt House Museum only discloses information to third parties and will only provide this
information if it is necessary for the implementation of our agreement with you or to comply with a
legal obligation.

The Rembrandt House Museum only uses technical and functional cookies. And analytical cookies
that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your
computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The cookies that we use are
necessary for the technical operation of the website and for user friendliness. They ensure that the
website works properly and that your preferred settings areremembered, as an example. We also

You have the right to access, rectify or delete your data. You can do this yourself via the personal

the right of data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal
data that we have in a computer file to you or to another organisation that you specify.
If you wish to invoke your right to object and/or data portability, or if you have any questions or
comments about data processing, please send a specific request to museum@rembrandthuis.nl.
To be sure that you are the one that has requested access, we will ask you to send a copy of your ID
with the request. Please black out your passport, the MRZ, i.e. the machine readable zone, the strip
with numbers at the bottom of the passport, passport number and citizen service number on this
copy. This is to protect your privacy. The Rembrandt House Museum will reply to your request as
soon as possible, but in any event within four weeks.

lodging a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

How we protect your personal data
The Rembrandt House Museum takes the protection of your data seriously and has put appropriate
measures in place to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanteddisclosure and
unauthorised modification. If you believe we have not sufficiently protected your data or it has been
